FERRAMOL®LIMACIDE slug and snail control product

Molluscicide for the control of slugs and snails in agricultural and ornamental crops outdoors and in protected areas, as well as in lawns.

Iron (III) phosphate – 9.9 g/kg

Formulation type

Bait granules.

Mode of action

The active substance in Ferramol® Limacide is iron (III) phosphate – a naturally occurring substance.

When it enters the soil, it breaks down into plant-available nutrients – iron and phosphate.

After ingesting the granules, slugs and snails stop feeding, do not produce slime, and move to hiding places where they die.

The granules are resistant to rain and remain effective in wet conditions.

In wet weather, the granules become especially attractive to slugs and snails.

In dry weather, the granules may be lightly moistened without affecting their effectiveness.

Effective against

Great grey slug (Limax maximus).

Grey field slug (Deroceras reticulatum).

Field slug (Deroceras agreste).

Spanish slug (Arion vulgaris).

Instructions for use

Dose: 5 g/m².

Scatter the granules as soon as the first signs of slug or snail infestation and plant damage are observed.

Scatter the granules evenly between plants.

The most effective application time is early evening, when slugs and snails become active.

The granules should be spread over the entire threatened area.

Do not apply in small piles or only around individual plants.

In case of severe infestation, also treat neighbouring areas.

If the bait is completely or almost completely consumed by the next day, repeat the treatment.

Maximum number of applications per season: 4 times.

Waiting period before harvest: not required.

First aid

If the product gets on skin, wash immediately with running water and soap for at least 15 minutes.

If the product gets in eyes, rinse with running water for at least 15 minutes.

If swallowed and the affected person is conscious, give 100 ml of water to drink.

In any accident, medical consultation is recommended.

Show the product label to the doctor.

Advice to doctor: symptomatic treatment.

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not store together with food or animal feed.

Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product.

Wear protective gloves.

After work or before a break, wash hands with water and soap.

Environmental protection

Do not contaminate water with the plant protection product or its packaging.

Respect a 10 m buffer zone from water bodies and watercourses.

Storage

Store in dry, cool and lockable premises.

Keep away from children and pets.

Store separately from food products and animal feed.

Storage temperature: from 0 °C to +25 °C.

Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture in unopened original packaging.
