DETIA®Ant Bait

Bait for covered use in a tin container with a cellulose pad soaked in ant bait solution.

The product is intended for the control of black ants indoors, outdoors, in and around buildings.

Use

Before use, make holes in the two marked places of the bait station, for example with a screwdriver.

Place the ready-to-use product directly on the ant trail.

Leave for 6–8 weeks or until ants are no longer observed.

Application rates

In case of low infestation:

1 bait station per 12 m².

In case of high infestation:

2 bait stations per 12 m².

Do not exceed 2 bait stations per 12 m².

Do not exceed 11 treatments per year.

Mode of action

The solution attracts ants.

The ants carry the bait to the nest to feed the larvae and the queen, thereby ensuring the destruction of the colony.

A visible reduction in the number of ants is expected within 4 weeks.

The product contains spinosad, which is dangerous to bees.

Avoid release into the environment.

Dispose of the container in accordance with local regulations.

Do not force open the bait station.

Avoid unnecessary contact with the mixture.

Use only in places that cannot flood or become wet.

Do not use on food or feed plants.

Place away from food, drinks and feed.

Place out of reach of children, pets, livestock and non-target animals.

In case of skin contact:

Wash with water.

If symptoms occur, contact a Poison Information Centre or doctor.

If in eyes:

Rinse with water.

Remove contact lenses, if possible.

If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

If swallowed:

If symptoms occur, contact a Poison Information Centre or doctor.

If inhaled:

Resistance management

Use only at the recommended application rates and intervals.

Monitor the sensitivity of the pest population.

If reduced effectiveness is observed or resistance is suspected:

Stop using the product.

Contact a professional pest control specialist.

Use products with a different mode of action.

Avoid frequent repeated use of the same active substance.

The use of biocides may be combined with sanitation measures.

Storage

Do not store near food, drinks or feed.

Store at a temperature below 40 °C.

Shelf life: 60 months.

Disposal

Dispose of product residues in accordance with Directive 2008/98/EC and local regulations.

Do not mix with other waste.

Store in the original packaging.
