Protect® Granule Bait for Mice and Rats

Protect® Granule Bait for Mice and Rats is a ready-to-use rodenticide intended for professional use indoors and outdoors around buildings. The product is designed for the effective control of house mice and brown rats.

Product Type: 14 – Rodenticide
Authorization No.: LV/2013/MR/007

Active Ingredient

Bromadiolone – 0.05 g/kg
(EC No.: 249-205-9, CAS No.: 28772-56-7)

The product also contains denatonium benzoate, a bittering agent that helps reduce the risk of accidental ingestion by humans.

Application

Designed for the control of house mice (Mus musculus) and brown rats (Rattus norvegicus) in residential buildings, warehouses, farms, industrial facilities and other locations where rodent activity has been observed.

When selecting a rodenticide, the resistance status of the target population should be considered.

Directions for Use

Place the bait in clearly labelled bait stations and position them in areas where rodent activity has been detected, such as runways, hiding places and feeding sites.

Open the bait sachet before use. If the product is not pre-packed, a respirator complying with EN 149 FFP2 or equivalent should be worn during application.

For outdoor use around buildings, place bait in locations protected from rain and flooding. Rodent mortality usually begins within 4–5 days after bait consumption.

Inspect bait points every 4–7 days. Replace or replenish bait that has been consumed, damaged, removed or contaminated. Continue treatment until rodent activity has completely ceased, usually within 2–3 weeks.

If bait remains untouched while rodent activity continues, change the bait placement location.

Bait stations should be clearly labelled with the rodenticide name, active ingredient, antidote and contact details of the person responsible for bait placement.

Application Rate

For mouse control, use 50–100 g of bait per 5 m².

For rat control, place 200–250 g of bait every 7–10 metres.
